Sir Adrian Carton de Wiart was a Belgian-British soldier who fought in both world wars and was honored with numerous awards for his bravery. He was known for being fearless in the face of the enemy and was wounded several times, even losing a hand, an arm, and an eye. Carton de Wiart was also a master of disguise and escaping from captivity.
